Misinformation and our media

If you watched Barack Obama's New Hampshire 'Town Hall' meeting yesterday, you undoubtedly saw the little girl get up and ask Obama the question, "As I was walking in I saw a lot of signs outside saying mean things about reforming healthcare. How do kids know what is true and why do people want a new system that can help more of us."

Now, of course Obama wants everyone to believe she was randomly selected. He wants everyone to believe in his mystical brand of Hope and Change, and that this is the most open and transparent administration evah!!!!

Unfortunately, the reality is something more closely in line with the workings of The Party/Ingsoc.

Abovetopsecret did some great work in uncovering the truth behind the little girl. It turns out that she's either the daughter of, or at least under the guardianship of, Kathleen Manning Hall, a Legal Assistant and Obama Donor with strong Democrat ties. Read the link above for the rest.

As always, Obama continues to show himself afraid to stand up to legitimate questions and, instead, packs his hall with scripted questions and runs a dog and pony show for the public to gin up support for his plan to take over Health Care.

What's also extremely interesting about this story is that it takes a blogger to figure this information out. Where is our media? I obviously ask that question rhetorically, as we all know they're in the tank for Obama. While Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann are getting chills down their legs at the mere presence of The One, bloggers are out there practicing real journalism.

Case in point? The continuing meme about Obama as Hitler posters showing up at some rallies. The media paints them as right-wing crazies... but are they? Hmmm... seems not so much. As you'll see at that link, and the video below, the media is completely ignoring it's duty to research and then report. Yet another win for the blogosphere and another stake thrown into the heart of the mainstream media.

That's right, these signs are actually the property of members of LPAC, LaRouche Political Action Committee, a left-wing political activist group. A group lobbying for the government to go to a single-payer health care system.

Checkout their "Obama's Nazi Health Care Plan" page.

Again, the media has it's narrative already written, it just needs to continue to cater to that narrative, regardless of the facts.

When it comes to getting news from the mainstream media, Caveat emptor.
