Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year friends and family! I decided to start this blog as a way to keep in touch with friends and family that we don't see that often. This will (hopefully) be a busy year for us with building the house and such that I thought this would be a fun way to give you all a peek into our lives! Not to mention, I'm a blog stalker and love nosing around to see what everyone is up to!

Al and I rang in a very cold 2009 in Providence. You know you are getting old when you watch the ball drop from your bed! We had dinner at Temple - which was right in our hotel unbeknownst to be when I made the reservations - which was nice. The food itself was what everyone said it was going to be - mediocre, but the atmosphere, the history and the service were outstanding.

We had tickets to go see A Christmas Carol at Trinity Rep after dinner, but given that we are not in Boston and there are not cabs on every corner, we decided to eat the tickets and sit at the bar and drink! Neither of us wanted to brave the cold and wind to walk there! It's fun being an adult and making those decisions!

Then we went over to Cheesecake Factory, had another dinner, and then went up to our hotel room. The view was gorgeous! This was taken the following morning. The rest of the New Year was punctuated with shopping and movies and crackling fires. It was lovely!
